Seasons HomeCare and Adult Day Center Success Stories
Adult Day Center guests enjoy the outdoors with Courtney at our Adult Day Center.
As a leader in adult day care services in northeast Indiana, our sole focus is maximizing quality of life and independence for our clients, enabling them to remain at home with loved ones for as long as possible rather than being placed in a nursing home or assisted living facility.
The following success stories are just a few examples of some of the clients and families for whom Seasons HomeCare & Adult Day Center are providing a higher standard of long-term care.
Helen’s family turned to Seasons HomeCare as a result of her progressing Alzheimer’s Disease. Seasons was able to provide needed help with cleaning, transportation, meal preparation, and most importantly, safety. Wandering is a common symptom of Alzheimer's disease. Three out of every five people with Alzheimer's will wander during the course of the disease. Sometimes they roam the streets with a specific purpose or goal in mind: They could be lost in a childhood memory or trying to perform a job they used to have. For Helen, she would try to walk to a local business that she and her husband operated for forty years. Unfortunately, this particular symptom of Alzheimer's is especially dangerous. As Helen advanced into the later stages of the disease, her condition required more hours of care. Seasons was able to offer an affordable option for Helen’s family: a combination of in-home care hours in the evening and adult day care hours during the day. Helen attends their center five days a week, where she enjoys gardening, painting and especially the “Spa Days.”
Mary also suffered from Dementia/Alzheimer’s Disease. She was isolated at home all day and her family knew that she needed more socialization. Mary attends their day center three days a week. The family has shared that she looks forward to everyday, especially learning new card games. This gave them peace of mind in knowing that they had secured a better quality of life for her.
